Classroom-Seminar:
Enhancing the ANSYS Workbench functionality with scripting in APDL

This seminar looks behind the scenes of the ANSYS-Workbench-environment and makes a more extensive and more effective application of the program possible for the solution of everyday computational tasks consequently. A priority goal is,to improve and provide error free simulation results in a shortest possible time. This training offers a basic understanding for the Classic ANSYS GUI and the advanced possibilities when using the script language APDL.

  • Examples

The ANSYS Workbench environment is developed from the idea to provide the simplest possible and easily operable standard application for non FE-specialists. Designspace became the first available product, which was conceived with priority for design engineers. Since that time ANSYS Workbench environment stands symbolic for the direct binding of mathematical Simulations to CAD models and thus for the actual integration of the simulation into the development process. With the progressive integration, which already exists in the ANSYS classic and implementation of new functions widens the scope of the Application. Accordingly several ways of conversion of current Simulation tasks are at user’ disposal - and it is not always easy - directly the best way to select. Concern of this seminar is it to inform the users comprehensively about the individual functions, so as to be acquainted with their technical conversion in the ANSYS classic and finally if necessary own to use adapted solutions for concrete questions. Correspondingly, coordinated exercises and examples make it possible moreover an easy training into the ANSYS classic.
