CADFEM Innovative: New Simulation Applications

CADFEM addresses new simulation applications and topics by means of innovative technologies and ideas. At this stage, CADFEM already offers special competences and leading software tools for material design and for medical purposes. Furthermore, a CAE master course has been established.

CAE-Master Course Masterstudiengang für Berechnungsingenieure

Today, lifelong learning is an essential part of career advancement and personality development. The acceleration of scientific and technological progress calls for a concept that offers learning opportunities at all ages and in various contexts. A growing number of people want to improve their qualifications, bring their skills up to date or retrain for a new line of work.

The European School of Computer Aided Engineering Technology focuses on the still growing field of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), which shows an increasing demand for highly qualified CAE users. You are considering a career in the CAE business, but don’t want to interrupt your professional life? We offer you a variety of educational opportunities in the academic and non-academic area.

Biomechanics

Simulation for Biomechanical and Medical Purposes The CADFEM business area Medical was founded in 2007. The aim is the transfer of classical engineering simulation technologies into biomechanics and medical applications. CADFEM cooperates closely with selected research institutions.

The main focus of CADFEM Medical is the development of applications for health professionals. Furthermore a partnership with Materialise (www.materialise.com) has been established with the aim to develop a simulation solution to display the whole workflow from DICOM to FEM. Another main topic of CADFEM is the distribution of the AnyBody Software including all services.

Materialdesign through Simulation

Mikroscopic Simulation with DIGIMAT from e-Xstream

The DIGIMAT software enables engineers to investigate the influence of the material microstructure on the stability of the end product. The applications of Digimat range from the use as an independent material laboratory over a material interface for structural mechanics (ANSYS and LS-DYNA) to a complete coupling between injection moulding simulations and structural mechanics. This also includes a solution for mapping between different meshes coming from injection moulding and the structural analysis.

Mesoskopic Simulation with MATERIAL STUDIO from accelrys

Materials Studio® is a software environment that brings the world's most advanced and validated materials simulation technology to desktop computing, solving key problems throughout the R&D process. Offering advanced visualization tools and access to the complete range of computational materials science methods, Materials Studio is designed for structural and computational researchers in chemicals and materials R&D who need to perform expert-level modeling and simulations tasks in an easy-to-learn yet powerful environment.
